The Program
Over the course of nine months, you’ll get an inside look at city/county/state government, public safety, education, business, health and human services, as well as arts, media, and diversity. All of this is done while also developing leadership skills and practical applications. Who are the ‘players’ in the cultural, artistic, and recreational life of the city? How does city government work? How does Mountain View fit into the regional picture? What are the important issues facing the local education and public safety systems? How can citizens make a difference? These and many more community themes are explored in the LMV course, which runs from September through May, typically meeting on the second or third Friday (depending on speaker and venue availability) of each month.
Leadership Mountain View (LMV) is a community leadership education program for adults who live or work in Mountain View
Spend nine full Fridays in the classroom and on field trips developing your leadership skills and learning about Mountain View
Instructors are local leaders and experts from the public and private sectors
Note: If COVID restrictions prevent any in-person Program Day’s we intend to have a four-hour zoom meeting on the scheduled Friday, followed by a two-hour zoom meeting the following Tuesday evening.
Many employers cover the tuition through their Education Reimbursement programs. Limited scholarships through LMV are available.
